Accounting Manager

Outstanding opportunity for an experienced Accounting Manager whose background includes working in robust, small company environments. Ideal candidate will have all the requisite, degreed accounting knowledge and experience, a very detailed orientation, the desire to be very hands on and the above-average ability to multi-task, without letting details fall through the cracks. A strong working knowledge of related support functions, such as HR, corporate insurance, facilities, and general IT is a plus. 

Responsibilities

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the maturity to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Prepare monthly financials.
  • Assist in the budget process.
  • Manage consignment, inventory, and update inventory in system.
  • Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.
  • Prepare bank reconciliations.
  • Assist with Vendor management.
  • Prepare bi-weekly payroll – including reviewing payroll quarterly and annual filings.
  • Assist in end of year reporting and submission to CPA for tax filing.
  • Assist in accounting work with sister entities.
  • Assist with HR functions such as health benefits, employee reviews, etc.
  • Assumes other responsibilities as delegated by management.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience in accounting role.
  • 7 +  years' accounting experience.
  • Cost accounting experience preferred.
  • Experience with Shoptech E2 a plus.
  • Intermediate or advanced computer skills in MS Office.
  • Must have track record of excellent analytical skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work in an environment with tight deadlines.
  • Collaborate with all team members in a cooperative manner.
  • Excellent customer service skills working with internal and external customers.
